NEW DELHI: The railways on Monday sought collaboration with French companies in the field of safety, customer service and high-speed train services.

Railway minister Suresh Prabhu invited French companies to 'open shop' in India while arguing that BJP government is trying to end the perception that doing business in India is difficult.

铁道部长Suresh Prabhu邀请法国公司在印度设厂，声称人民党政府正试图结束这样一种看法，即在印度做生意是困难的。

"Once we work on it you will realize that doing business in India is not that cumbersome," Prabhu said.

The minister said that railways are planning to collaborate in the area of developing high-speed train network.
